Corporate Accounting Specialist

The Corporate Accounting Specialist is a member of the Accounts Payable team, which is responsible for receiving and paying vendor invoices, processing internal accounting transactions, reconciling company cash accounts, and preparing periodic financial statements for review. Daily work requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines while adhering to internal controls established by Nottingham.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing vendor invoices
  • Entering transactions to Company general ledgers
  • Maintaining customer service to resolve vendor/customer issues in a timely manner
  • Reconciling Company cash accounts on regular basis
  • Communicating money movement instructions to Shareholder Services department as needed
  • Preparing interim and year-end financial statements
  • Supporting other departments on internal projects/process improvements
  • Maintaining and organizing accounting data for online storage
  • Preparation of financial reports for other departments
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits

Technical Skills Required:

  • Must be comfortable with a computer driven work environment
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft office programs, notably Excel
  • QuickBooks experience a major plus
